As some of you may be aware, we have been designing a new version of UK-MKIVS around the new version of the software it currently runs on, Community Server. We have scheduled Friday/Saturday to upgrade the software.

Therefore, uk-mkivs.net will be offline from

31/3/2006 6:30pm - 1/4/2006 12:00 noon

More details will appear later this week on the new features but here are a few teaser screenshots in the meantime [:D]

How many times have we heard that before ... this forum changes its style more often than Madonna [:)]

New look is a big improvement IMO, current software version has never felt quite 'finished'

Do think we need UK Polo's! I'm not out on Friday night, I'm babysitting our dog! I can't just sit there drinking lager and watching sky all night...

I think we should survive for the 18 hours or so we're down [;)]

Andy - Yes there is a quick reply, but in true uk-mkivs style.... it's different to the conventional quick reply you're used to on php forums [:D]
In other words, takes a few steps to get there eh?! [:D] True UKMKIV's styl-eeee

This means that for the first time since i started using the forum, i won't be late taking my daughter to her swimming lessons, i always have to look at just one more post.

The wife keeps asking "can she swim yet.....?"

"Not yet dear, she must be a slow learner!"

She's actually like a brick in water, but maybe thats my fault?

As far as i can remember (there have been many tins of Red Stripe between) the last two changes have taken longer then planned,so 18 hours may turn in to 36, which means that i will have to crash in on the polo crew for a lively bit of drunken banter.[D]

Hope every thing goes smooth guys.

Such a pessimist [:p] The upgrade process takes about 2 hours in itself, then we need to do a bit of testing, so it will definitely not be later than noon Saturday [:)]
