Yeah fingers are enough to make them go really quickly.

Only hope is to send them back and ask Osram to inspect them, if they have finger prints on them then you'd maybe need to pay for new ones but if not then it must have been a bad batch and they should replace them.

Problem is you need to trust them to be honest!

Yep... got them installed by a mechanic. Whats more he was wearing a set of rubber gloves at the time, and warned me not to touch the glass on the original bulbs he removed, as I packaged them away.

Recently, I purchased (and was delighted with) a set of H1 and H7 bulbs for my MkIV Golf. See:

http://www.uk-mkivs.net/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=46656

I got stopped by the cops last night, who pointed out that one of my headlights was out. [V]

The bloody thing didnt even last a month :(

Hows everyone elses holding up?

BLOODY HELL ALREADY!!!

If you return it to me then I will replace FOC and give the supplier a SLAP!!! This goes for anyone else too, the replacement that is not the slap..

Cheers

mine are fine at the mo (had them for 3 weeks) When I had the GTI I had the same kind for 4 months and were fine also.

Liquroice has had his for over a year (I think!!)

Like enc said, did yoou happen to touch the bulbs( glass bit)?? as this can cause damage!

By the way, there not Shaqs bulbs, he just provided a service for us at a good price in the form of a Group Buy! if you want to complain go to Autobulbsdirect.com. (there site is under my sig!)[^][^]

Well you can't get fairer than that I suppose.

Only problem is, I'll have to take it to the mechanic to get the bloody thing out again.. Im useless at fiddly things! And then I'll be without a headlight in the meantime.

I'll try and get it sent off tomorrow. Cheers lad.

As Deadlock said they ain't my bulbs HOWEVER I have contacted the supplier and they have said that if any do go, which s very unlikely - IF I go in with the blown bulbs they will replace FOC. So if any do happen to go keep em and I'll be able ot get nice shiney replacements

Redeye - you have mail well PM!

When fitting these little bad boys there are 3 things to look out for..

1. DON'T TOUCH THE BULBS

2. ENSURE the seal is CORRECTLY put on the rear on the headlight

3. ENSURE that through your huffing and puffing there is NO condensaion/moisture in the headlight

As the last two WILL cause the bulbs to blow as ANY moisture no matter how little can seriously damage the bulbs as they get SO hot and well the glass is very thin.

The first one of touching the glass can also have a lifespan shortening effect on the bulbs

Cheers

One of my bulbs went just before xmas. Wasn't fussed (for the price). I was just going to order another set off Shaq but haven't got round to it yet. I am currently running one original and one of Shaq's and you can certainly see the difference. [:)]

I still have the blown one in my car so I can send it back if it helps.

I think your post is a bit out of order really, you should have PM'd shaq first & explained your situation, not slag him off on the forum[V]

I had a bulb go & PM'd him, & one arrived in the post a few days later, but the postoffice fooooked it in transit[V]

I'm soon to upgrade even further to a full set of Osram bulbs from shaq [^]

Have I missed something? gt_redeye asked if anyone elses bulbs have gone, he has not slagged anyone off in any way at all.

Don't turn this into an arguement please.

I cant complain at all!

I PM'd Shaq today and asked for a replacement as one of mine has lasted 5months or so. He had already replaced one after 3 months at a cheaper price.

This time he is offering it FOC.

How can anyone complain with that customer service?!

As has been said, its not Shaq's fault, but he is doing his hardest to help out.

Customer service A Class!!

I've also had problems with the bulbs that I got from Shaq's GB but I didn't bother saying anything as I don't think it's down to Shaq and the service he provided was very good. My bulbs didn't blow but the light output deteriorated significantly after a month or so, I've now replaced them with Philips vision plus and they are big improvement. Using the ukpolos.net discount I got a set of H4 dipped/main and bluevision sidelights for ?16 delivered.

Edit to add: I don't think the orignal post slags Shaq off, as David says it's just to ask how others have got on with the bulbs and it would seem there have been a few problems but the majority seem very happy.
