ok i know ive only just got me golf (see my other thread)

but im already looking at others as soon as my loan is payed off.

i have calculated with the rate im paying, plus all the money from my part time job i got (as well as me full time to help me pay off the loan) plus extra bit of money im making on ebay plus my christmas bonus! i can have my loan payed off my january next year.

now i believe when buying a new car u should always better ureself fro m what u had b4.

ive gone from a nova, to a clio, to a bora - then stepped up and did wot i did to it, now the golf.

and even though i cant fout the golf and plz no one take this wrong but i feel i have taken a step back from the bora - especially as it was a show car.

now as soon as ive payed off my loan i want to get my self a 3-4 yr old small cabriolet sports car - here my short list -

bmw z3

lotus elise

mazda mx5

mgf

or subaru impreza

and before any one asks, no my part time job is not as a hair dresser[:)]

but i feel or know that all these cars are acheivable for me by nxt yr as long as insurance allows. as i can afford a 3-4 yr old one of these easily as soon as my debt is out of the way!

hopefully i can get insured on these as i will be 20 yrs old by then any way!

so thats my plan and im already looin at auto trader and top marques etc. getting exited already!

but for now i will enjoy my golf.

what u rekon?!

BMW Z3 ....Handbag

Elise... Excellent handling, Noisy, uncomfortable (long journeys) Lack of boot space.

Mazda MX5...Handbag

MGF.....Handbag

Suburu....Ugly as sin, High running costs, Ecellent handling

I don't like any of those cars but if forced to pick one it's got to be the Lotus

The Z3 is quite nice - I tested a 2.8 and liked it

Wouldn't touch an MGF - looks like a sausage and falls apart (allegedly)

The lotus would be nice, but driving it in the rain, ice and snow??.......

If you like the MX5 then try the newer MR2 - great handling

You can't beat the MX-5 for reliability, ask MarriedBlonde as his misses is just selling hers for a MR2.

The 5 is quite an underated car IMHO, the 1.8 is the best, as with all cars the Mark 1 is the lightest. Mazda dropped a bit of a b*ll*ck recently as they changed the cluch design and material when the went to the Mark 2.5 and they are now having problems with juddering clutches. The wife's has just been changed under warranty, no problems booking it in or anything, runs fine now.

Would have to be the Lotus for me too [:)] if only I could convince the wife to get one, did almost get her to try the new RX-8 but she didn't like the look of it [:(] Shame really as she enjoyed the RX-7 that her ex-husband-in-law ran a few years ago.

She is now on her third Mazda, without any major problems at all (excluding the clutch issue).
