Service is due on my PD150 .... whats the difference between an interim and full service?

Cheers, Jay.

Hey Jay,

It's pretty straight forward really...

The interim service is an oil and filter change plus checks over the safety aspects of the vehicle.

The Full service is a bit more thorough including a lube service to the hinges/latches on the bonnet - boot - doors etc. We also give the car a quick scan with VAGCOM to see if there are any faults stored.

As well as this you also get a fuel filter and air filter change.

Hope this helps,
Regards, Al.

Cheers Al thats good.

My doors are getting a bit hard to open and close, they seem to of dropped a little bit. Is this something you can adjust during the full service when it comes to lubing up the hinges?

Needing full service with new fuel filter .... just a shame my clutch has broken again leaving my car undriveable.

Jay.

Unfortunately on the Mk4's the only real permanent fix is to replace the hinges themselves.

We've seen a few people lifting the door from the bottom to adjust them, but it seems like a bit of a sore thing to do.
