Hi

I got the warning top up screen wash level this morning topped up but the warning keeping coming on and the bottle is full now what is wrong ??

You have used the wrong screenwash additive.

Use VW screenwash and the light will go out.

Oh, and you will need vagcom to reset the light, I'm sure someone here will help you out with that.

What on earth are you talking about!! You don't need VW-specific screenwash!! It's more likely that his sensor at the bottom of the bottle is either loose or faulty!

I would be shocked if there was a sensor on the market that could tell between different branded screen wash?

You have probably got a loose connection or something?

This is easily solved by an after market DV. Not only will it give you a 25hp gain, it will also sort out the sensor problem you have. (You can tell it's Friday afternoon)

I doubt it, Reckon the sensors just messed up.

You'll have to take it out and have a look at it.

Seriously though, it's probably either,

Plug on washer bottle loose or unplugged.

Dirt or corrosion on the plug terminals (it probably gets damp quite regularly.)

It's also possible, though unlikely, that the sensor in the tank has corroded or broken.

Give it a good clout with a large blunt object ... like your hand !

It's more than likely the float switch is stuck.

Bet that solves it.

Hitting things such as your screenwash bottle will also help you feel manly as well and may inspire you to do other manly things this weekend like have a bonfire.

I'm going to hit my headlight before I leave work to get my dodgy sidelight bulb working for the journey home. That will inspire me to do such manly activities this weekend such as rake leaves and put them in bin bags.

... Just hit it !

Is the sensor at the front ?? its not even plugged in and i cant find the plug ??
