So when I go to fit my upper brace soon is this not what I should be doing...

Mark
the holes to be cut when the car is still on its wheels then jack it up
remove wheels, drill the holes, fit brace, fit wheels, lower the car
back onto the ground and tighten the whole thing up..

Its just the two DIY how 2's I've saw they both did the whole thing with the car jacked up and wheels off..

Or does it make no difference.

makes no difference dude. you only need to adjust a strut brace on the floor if its an adjustable one and you wanna set the stiffness of it.

S3 one is just a solid bit of metal.
