Hi ,thanks for taking the time to read this

i have a mk4 gti which i am wanting to keep the standard look

its fitted with monty 2 alloys ,which are nice but a bit small ,iv seen some rover hairpinn alloys which are very simuler in looks but are 18"

the sizes are

monty 2 16"x6.5 et42 fitted with 225 50 16 (not the standard 205) centre bore 57.1

hairpinns 18"x7.5 et50 fitted with 235 40 18 centre bore 56.1

i know the centre bore is smaller ,but i can sort that

iv tryed working out the offset sizes on internet ,& think i will need at least 20mm spacers front & rear ?

does any one know if it can be done ?

and if im on the right track of thinking = 20mm spacers ?

any help would be great

thanks matt

Hi mate, I've looked into these too, nice looking wheel. Yes they are 5x100 so right bolt pattern, centre bore would need operning out to match tho to 57.1. Unless you got some spacers made up with 57.1 for the hubs and 56.1 for the wheels.

225/40/18 tyres would be better.
