cool!
Pros : Looks small enough to carry around easily
2-in-1 would be very useful

Cons : But ?600-800 [] wayyyyyyy too much !
Yep ?599 with UK maps does seem a lot of money but if you look at it this way, a standard RA2 will cost ?399 in the shops, so effectively your getting the sat nav part for ?200 which dosen't seem too bad.

If I didn't have a RA2 already I would seriously consider one of these.

I'm going to be getting one of these 2 test in the not too distant future and then heopfully will be able to get them at a discounted price.

I think one of the cons may be the mapping software...

I'll let you know any info when I have it.

What blackspot support camera databases for france then? since when?

I know they are banned in most places in Europe but I didn;t think that blackspot sold the units in these coutnries as they don't have the camera databases for them.

The databases might not be supported but people still take them for the laser detection, not knowing what can happen if they're caught.

There are camera locations on www.mappy.com and if you're going to France leave your speed camera/laser detector behind 'cos they have a habot of fining and/or destroying detectors. I don't know about any other countries.

I would expect that something which is a navigation unit will not be treated in the same way - until they find out what it's capable of, then it would be best to check first.

Roadangel UK vs Roadangel EU are different because of the different laws on detection n'stuff I think. The units are also made differently to take into account both I believe?? Can't remember if it's the laser detection or something else, have read it somewhere (prob on the UK site actually! [;)])
