RNS510 Firmware loading

Hello,

I am looking for an RNS510 with the firmware version of 1100. I need this because of the whole battery drain issue as I have an 05 GTI. If I buy a unit on ebay with a higher version could I downgrade the version if I had the disc? Was just concenered that the unit might say nope as it had a higher/newer version already installed. Also if worst came to worst surely the dealer could downgrade the firmware.

If anyone has an RNS510 with the firmware 1100 I would be more than will to make a good offer to take it of your hands :).

Any help greatly apreciated.

Yes you can downgrade the firmware.

You could also run a modified version of a newer f/w that will not give you battery drain. The choice is yours.
