I have my car revo'd.

I've heard about this 4 bar pressure regulator thing. Do I have to go through the stages 1st i.e sps1,2 & 3 then the 4 bar or can I just upgrade the pressure regulator?

I think you need the sps 3 because this allows you to change parameters i.e boost and stuff.

Is this correct?

Get a 4bar FPR, fit it yourself then go to your local Revo dealer to have the 4bar SW loaded FOC.

SPS1, 2 and 3 are switches and not tuning stages.

You are quite correct on the function of the SPS3 though its not needed but highly recommended.

I have Revo 4bar, smoothed airbox with 80mm feed, green panel filter, full milltek exhaust, samco TIP, powergasket and a forge DV007P.

I have always used Optimax and Millers Octane+ giving me around 99ron running HB9 and Timing 6 or 7.

I got 245bhp with Millers CVL Turbo and Optimax (102-104ron) and SPS3 settings of High Boost 9 and Timing 9.

Its true - the sheet is there to prove it!!

4Bar FPR will cost less than ?40 from Euro Car Parts in Leeds.

I've got one 4bar fpr left if you need one, I can also upgrade your Revo map to the 4 bar version.

The SPS3 will allow you to modify the ignition timing and boost, I've got one of those in stock too!

Send me an email if you want to upgrade.

So i just ask for a 4bpr for a mk4 golf 1.8t. Right?

Then I go to my REVO dealer and they will update the software for free.

Sounds like a deal!!!!

Thats about all there is to it!!

I'm pretty sure that they are the same item just two different suppliers.

Quote the part number and get a price from both of them and don't forget to check who has stock available. Your local Audi dealer will probably be the most expensive but they may well be the ones that have stock.
