Hi guys! (re-post as I was getting no responses in bodywork forum!)

Been looking for a genuine r32 bumper for my mk4 regardless of colour and I can't seem to find any that are under £500! I really want the genuine ones as they are pretty much a guaranteed fit but I can't see any in these forums and I can't register my interest yet in the 'Wanted' section as I'm only a newbie

Anyway, I've seen this replica on ECS Tuning that I want your opinions on...

I understand it's similar to the genuine one but also different

Obviously it will be colour matched, but would it look convincing if I plastidipped or actually resprayed the mesh black?

Honestly just hold out for genuine, there is no rush!

Iv waited for so long to get all my genuine parts including my r32 front bumper from a member on here for £150 and i couldn't be happier.

You'll only regret not waiting for a genuine.

Yeah I think that is probably the wise thing to do, although am I able to purchase parts off other members even if I'm under the 100 post requirement (for making a thread)?

The mesh really lets it down. As above it's worth waiting for a genuine one as so you can use the proper grills instead.

You can view for sale threads and and buy what ever is being sold,you just can't make your own adverts until you reach 100 posts.

Yeah definitely agree with both of you guys now, will make my car look a lot better than a replica

And thanks for clearing that up, I will be looking thoroughly for the front bumper in the for sale section!

I now have my US spec genuine r32 front bumper for sale in the classifieds.
It is damaged but a decent body repair shop will be able to fix it.
