My Remote central locking decided to stop working yesterday, the signal was really weak beofre.. I had to be by the door to unlock it with the fob.

I replaced the fob battery a few weeks ago and the light still flashes so it shouldnt be that...

Any ideas?

Try disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes,thsi sometimes cures this sort of problem.

Have a problem with the door card removal which I need to do to reconnect the rod that goes through the door sill down to the lock, how do I refit the rod? The rod is the very bendy one, and do I need to remove the door lock mechanism on inside of door?

It goes like this but is almost impossible to replace with taking the whole lock mech out again.But as it serves no real purpose other than a visual reminder of whether the door's locked or not,why not just leave it out?
