Hi all, was asked by a friend to look at his car mk5 golf gt tdi 170bhp as he had it remapped but test drove it afterwards and no obvious difference, boost pipes have been checked and new maf sensor fitted, so i scanned it with vagcom and nothing come up had a quick look under the bonnet but nothing obvious, any ideas (its on 80k) the company have offered a full refund as they cant find a fault with the car or map but he would rather have the map and sort the problem

thanks

Should be an obvious difference - get the map redone...

The maps on mk5 tdis are generally very smooth. When I first had my mk5 done, I thought that there was no change but I soon realised that the car pit on speed much quicker.

For the 170, I guess the tuner offered 200-205bhp ? The car in standard form probably has 185-190bhp so the gains should be in more torque I'd have thought.
Have told him to get a refund and go else where, so he's done that and they refunded him this morning so hes taking it to amd or Rtech,

@Rtech did you get my email
Nick and the lads arnt back at work till Tuesday I don't think - If you give them a call then Pip will be sure to book him in...and I bet you bottom dollar they will make it feel a touch faster lol
