After disconnecting the battery how long does it normally take for the Radio to come back on. Ive read that the ecu remembers the code when the battery is re connected.

Ive re connected mine now and the radio is showing a tiny 2 in bottom left hand corner and says SAFE on the display. What needs to be done now to get it working.

Ive just been flicking through old posts sort of relating to this and people have said theirs came up with SAFE then 1000.

Mine is just saying SAFE and nothing else . Is this right?

Yeh factory radio been in the car from new. Its been out before and gone back in and worked just cant remember how long it takes. Plus im sure last time it went back in mine came up with 1000 after SAFE this time it isnt doing that

Wife has drove to work this morning with it displaying SAFE then 1000

On a 30 minute trip it hasnt reset itself, does it need longer than that or is it just not going to come on now?

What should i do now as im certain i dont have the code for it.
