this' more like comparing a 1.4 to R32

As I have been in the fortunate position of owning both at the same time.
my chipped 150PD had the oppotunity to scare many a fast car but against my chipped R32? Not a chance! even in gear it couldn't match the R. Although the TDI felt faster, because of the turbo winding up and torque steer! the R just roundly trounced the TDI...

] Well, the driver of the Octavia is a colleague of mine and it's his company car. I don't know a great deal myself about Skoda's range, and he just said it was a '150 brake' diesel that'd been remapped. Having looked at the Skoda website, you're quite right - there is no 150 brake TDI PD in their Octavia range. I'm going to pull him up on that when I next see him! I guess that'd explain why I beat him fairly easily!
Either way, my original point still stands - a remapped PD150 won't touch a standard R32.

Having looked at the Skoda website, you're quite right - there is no 150 brake TDI PD in their Octavia range. I'm going to pull him up on that when I next see him!
