will an r32 rear spoiler fit on my 2.0 gti w reg? will it catch the aerial? why do the aftermarket ones from vw have a notch in the middle if it doesnt catch my aerial

Yes it will fit, the R32 hatch spoiler is shorter than the Votex item with the cutout...

You will find that the R32 item is shorter by the length of the cutout on the Votex item...

Yes the R32 spoiler will fit without catching the aerial.

The Vortex spoilers are a little deeper and need the cutout to avoid contact with the aerial.

The votex spoiler has a cut out because it sticks out further than the R32 spoiler.

got my mate who has an r32 to measure the distance between the aerial and the back, and its the same as my gti. so thats a fact then they are the same

got the spoiler and it looks good, but did notice its an anniversary one not an r32, they are ever so slightly different, i only noticed because my mates has an anni and the other has an r32

Thats not good , is it?, if you paid for an r32 one you should have a r32 one., anyone know the part number of the r32 one and the anni one, so i can check that i havnt been `duped`.

i bought a spoiler from ems too on e-bay. it was advertised as a R32 spoiler but when it came i noticed it was an anni one.

Whats the difference then? I thought that the R one and the Anni one had the same part number?

AFAIK EMS LTD is somehow linked to OEM Parts (http://www.oemparts.co.uk/). These are the people who provided the anniversary kits in the recent GB. It seemed a slight coincidence that when the GB was announced on here, a few days later there were full anni kits and bits of anni kits (including buy it now 'r32' spoilers for ?80) on ebay from EMS LTD (and they are both in Norwich, and the website and ebay photo of a yellow 337/anni were the same too....etc etc)

Without having a biitch, i reckon this stuff has been lying around in the warehouse for some time (anni kits and these spoilers were talking about) as my kit didnt come in any original packaging, covered in dust and crap, with parts of the primer rubbed off (costing me a small fortune at the bodyshop to get redone!)

I suppose when u pay rock bottom prices, this is what u gotta expect[V].

I'm still waiting for mine too. If it arrives and it's not an R32 one I'll be straight on the phone. False advertising etc.

Kinghoop, did you contact them to complain? After all the ad clearly states it's ready to fit and fully primed and brand new. Looks like all three counts are wrong from what you say.
