The sister in laws got a split on the inside of her r32 rim, genuine r she bought it new. Now does she buy a genuine vw or rep? What's the difference?

i think the ofsets are different and the genuine ones are half inch bigger i think.

it can be repaired depending on how big the split is

Different weight, different size (offset and width, ie 7.5j oem, vs 8.0j replica).

Have a trawl around the forums (R32oc also) to see if u can pick up a 2nd hand oem wheel.

I paid £120 for a spare wheel 3years ago, so it wasn't too expensive all in all
