R32 or M3

Comparing a £50k car to one 1/2 the price, I would have thought that 99% of people would go for the M3 if they actually got the 2 cars together at a dealership and had to choose there and then.

The 1% would no doubt include Wish as he hates BMW's[:D]

I personally could afford a new M3 but I wouldn't buy one because I think the R32 represents much better value for money and if and when I pay that sort of money for a car it would have to be a proper sports car preferably with a top that comes off, i.e a Porsche[^]

I think it was £4400, I went £100 everytime he went and ducked out at £4300. As you know when all the bits and bobs are added on it makes it an expensive game.

Well that would have been a nice profit for him, cos it went cheap at the DVLA auction.

(cheap for that kind of number)

PS Still dont like BMW ;-)

See if I was going to be honest and not worry about upsetting anyone I would post something along the lines of:

"only a complete moron would buy an r32 over an e46 M3..." but I don't want to offend anyone so I'll just say given the choice of the 2 I would buy the M3, if after owning it I decided it wasn't all that I would flog it, buy the r322 and have one hell of a month on the cash left over [:D] the £20K plus left over would pay for a nasty habbit [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

R32: V6 3196cc 241BHP 151MPH 0-60: 6.2

M3 : S6 3246cc 343BHP 155MPH 0-60: 5.1

Now whatever you do to these cars is going to cost big bucks...superchargers or turbos. Superchargers for both are in development as I understand it? I know the M3 SCs can add around 150-160, but they hve a habbit of going bang. DA Motorsport have a 750BHP kit coming out for the E46 M3.

Id obviously go M3 but not for bias reasons; also because no matter what you do to an R32, its still a Golf. As has been said these cars arent even in the same league
