but I need to know how wide is the hole in the intake, and how long and wide is the tube that comes with kit (I've already asked the dealers but they don't know)..Does anyone here knows??

Please help,'cause I need this info to order the intake...

Thanks...

PS: How wide should the tube connecting the intake and the airbox be?

The 150pd already has piping from the front valance to the airbox, so you are probably wasting your time.

Yeah the 150PD takes the air feed in from just left of the N/S headlamp through the meshed section in the grill assembley then routes it round the headlamp up the wing into the air-box.

Do like that air intake though.

My anni had this and my R. From the airbox runs a narrow plastic pipe alongside the battery and into the headlight then onto the mesh intake inboard of the passenger headlight...

The OEM tubes go from the left side headlamp, around the battery and the to the airbox...What I want is to re-route the tube from tge air intake directly to the airbox...

Does anyone know about bonrath?

Same as mine!

There may be an air intake already but it's quite small, fitting a bigger pipe may be a little better.

True, and this is why I bought a Carbonio (as yet unfitted). However, Superchips told me the CAI would probably make more of a noise difference than a performance one but, hey! Apparently, the diesel engine does not crave air in the same way as a petrol engine.

I think Rich R1GTI did this mod or something similar and used sections of Marley PVC mini-drainpipe.

Hi,

Do you have any pictures of where the air intake from the valance runs to.I have recently bought a 150 and the flexible hose from the valance just ends at the front of the gearbox.I assumed that it ran to the air filter box but I lost my engine dirt tray in the bad weather and it ripped the fixings on the side plastic bits.Thats when I noticed the duct goes throught the passenger side plastic and seems to just end at the front of the gear box.Have I got some bits missing?

there was a comparison done a few years ago , and the smoothed airbox out performed the cabronio. i did the mod and used a flexiable 3 " hose.

no pics on this pc, but if you remove the lid of your airbox, you will notice that there are fins inside which disturb airflow, you dremel theese off so the inside is smooth, usualy followed by making the intake to the front larger.
