anyone had this hu??

I'm trying to work out how to dim the lights with the headlights

to be honest i fittied it in the dark so im not too sure. Will have a look on the weekend tho.

The manual says there is a dimming option in the menu, but i cant find it.

ok, what do i do with that orange wire?

do i wire that with my headlights?

If you've used the car's original ISO connector it should already be mated up the the grey/blue wire.

I checked, it does mate up with the grey and blue wire, now what?

do you not have to turn this feature on in the main menu on the head unit if that makes sense, i remember having to do it with an old Pioneer HU

Ian's right,this taken from the user manual.....

Press function repeatedly until "dimmer" appears in the display

Press rotary encode to turn dimmer on and off,it should show "Dimmer:eek:n" or "Dimmer:eek:ff"

Amazing what you can find from a few minutes on Google isn't it[:p]?

yeah that what it said in the manual but i tried that and there wasnt anything with dimmer

It should tell you in the manual the sequence all the options should be in,are all the others present with the exception of dimmer?

im sure its a UK model, i bought it off ebay not too long ago.

il try the reset button and see if that works, apart from the dimmer problem its a fantastic headunit, great sounding.

i worked it out in the end. i didnt realise I had to switch the headunit off before I try the function menu.
