Great pics, You should do a 3rd party Golf sales Brochure [:D]

Did the carpet mats come with the car, or as part of the deal etc. which ones are they? Standard/luxury.

SatNav looks very nice.

Now I am getting really impatient...............

what does that rotary knob do in the centre of the dash

above the warning triangle?

Is it a ventilation control?

Also is that a speaker on the top behind it?

Q: what does that rotary knob do in the centre of the dash above the warning triangle?

A: Air vent to point to windown screen

Q: Also is that a speaker on the top behind it?

A: Nope, dont think so

Q: Is the button to turn the passenger airbag off a standard feature?

A: The default setting it is on, but you can turn it off in the glove box, and a light will show up.

According to the manual, the big vent on the top of the dash is to provide 'indirect heating and cooling' rather than direct from the normal dash vents. When you open this large vent, it takes most of the air away from the small vents to give 'all over' heating or cooling.

(I know, I'm sad reading the manual on the first night I had it!!!!)

apologies, what my question intended to ask was: Is it standard equipment or a factory extra at cost [?].

Yeah exactly. Why can't the VW website give us this sort of graphic coverage as an on-line brochure.

As far as I'm aware these are the only pictures anywhere on the web or in print which show the Golf SatNav displays!
