Golfturbo,

if your head unit supports a cd changer then it will support a phatbox
as it runs off the same connection. ( The 13 pin round connector )

You can use the VW and convert it to run on the kenwood like i have.
This is the cheeper option rather than buying the kenwood one and you

get a bigger drive and USB 2.0 in the cradle

Hope this helps

Not too difficult need to buy VW Phatnoise and a new kenwood keg lead
from Fullers which is about ?55 delivered plug the keg lead into the
back of the head unit as you would a changer and run the lead in the
usual way.

On the PC install the cradle, drivers and phat noise software load the
cradle and choose the update firmware option and s elect the kenwood
option you will get a few nag screens but ignore
these and tell the pc to get on with it . The PC will then
download the new firmware direct from phatnoise nad extract it the the
DMS all you need to do then is go plug the DMS into the car and connect
the cable it will then spring into life and rewrite the Phatnoise
firmware to kenwood keg. all you need to then is load the DMS with
music (The Fun Bit) and plug it back in again and hit Changer on the
source s election and you have bucket loads of music which you will
struggle to listen to all of it [:)]

Need any more info drop me a line

Cheers

If it has the round cd changer lead connection then it will work just a case of changing the lead from phatnoise to head unit for a kenwood keg one then reflashing the box to the kenwood keg software which can be done in phatnoise software

Any more probs let me know

Cheers
