2022 has not been a great year for me.

Driver seat base leather repaired. Borderline job, but I'm through fighting.

Upholsterer didn't route the seat heater wires correctly, so I had to disassemble and re-route.

Replaced the rear passenger door lock module as I thought that's why the vanity light wasn't working.
Turned out that wasn't the issue. Light still not working.

Found out that the screw holding in the door lock cylinder (arrowed below), is only supposed to be turned 12 revolutions.
Not removed.
If you remove it all the way, the gold mounting bracket (just visible on the right)) falls out.
Whole thing then needs pulled apart! Ask me how I know.

Long story, but reinstalled instrument cluster after polishing with Meguiar's PlastX. Photo doesn't really show it, but made quite a difference by getting rid of the shallow scratches.

@ian1485, thanks for your support.
When I was parting my V5 donor Bora, I noticed the T-junction on coolant pipes was brittle. Finally today I replaced mine with an aluminum one; mine also disintegrated.
I'd replace all the coolant pipe connectors, but can't find the part numbers on 7Zap.

Waiting for new hoses with connectors.

Ordered new driver's seat belt as the mechanism got stuck.

Installed door lights, after head unit and reverse camera, probably my best feel good mod!

For those replacing clutch and wondering what else to do, @sprag at VWVortex wrote:

"As long as I was in there..." I did both motor mounts, the dogbone, crack pipe, thermostat, thermostat housing, alternator, water pump, serpentine belt, belt tensioner, transmission mainshaft service kit, timing chain kit, intermediate timing sprocket, rear main seal, dual mass flywheel, clutch and clutch release bearing, and probably some other stuff that I don't remember. Should have had the front bumper resprayed while I had it off, but it was during peak covid lockdown, and I couldn't find a shop open. Oh well. Next owner can do that, I'm done.

Replaced 2 coolant hoses: new 1J0 122 073 BR and 1J0 122 101 BF
Sadly, 1J0 122 447 FK is no longer available, otherwise would have done this also.

Had the A/C compressor, condenser, expansion valve and dryer replaced today. Just in time for summer!
Looks like the compressor & dryer had been replaced previously. Condenser was still original.
