Hi and welcome
sorry answered in your other post didn't spot it was in the wrong section

It could be a number of things...possibly your VNT mechanism. idealy
you need to get your car scanned with vag-com or similar to see what
fault codes are brought up. a remap will not solve it and more likely to
make it worse

Gotta agree with madman is his first post on the thread, re-mapping a car with problems with the turbo will definately only make things worse. A dose of Innotec turbo cleaner is a possibility but its not a guaranteed fix and you could be throwing money down the drain.

I had a similar problem with my Golf going into limp mode and the vanes inside the turbo were stuck solid. After a chat with Philip from R-Tech Performance i booked the car in with them and in that time they took the turbo off the car and totally cleaned it out to remove all the carbon deposits. 3 days later i had the car back and the turbo is running like its fresh out of the factory and all for the tidy sum of £230 including new bolts and a rolling road test.

Thats a fantastic price considering a specialist VAG garage quoted me £700 for a new turbo "cos its knackered mate"!

Unit 17, Phoenix Business Park, Brindley Road, Hinckley, Leicestershire, LE10 3BYHello, Sound like you have had bad advice,
these turbos only fail when the are pumping load of white oil smoke out, if its
boosting and only going into limp mode then it can be easy fixed. thats what i been told was on phone to then for abought 15 minits they are suppose to b very good quote £140 if i send it to them if i can get it off they strip it clean it also ,,,,
