'passenger door open' alarm problem

The warning light of the passenger door being open is constantly on and everytime i pull off in first a warning comes up saying 'passenger door open' but it definitely is not open. Is there a simple solution to this or any suggestions?

DOOR LOCK MODULE REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT

Could also be a fault elsewhere in the door,in the CCM or even in the cluster.
