Green Cotton. They seem to be popular which is why i got one. I've heard the others are too oiled which can hurt the car

more worth while than a CAI??

depends on what you want from it. a CAI will give you a massive deep sound. The benefit of the panel is that it just treats the engine better with a slightly lower note.

You wont rev the engine and hear a hairdryer sound anymore :)

Ok. Cleaner air going into the engine is better for it and since this panel cleans out more crap and has a better air flow the engine will 'work better.'

You can hear a deeper sound when you drive it.

As far as the hairdryer sound that is what a standard 1.8T sound like when you rev it. It's a gutless sound IMO but this filter gives it a fuller note.

Anyone agree?

Sounds like what I want. I took the top cover off my box the other day (with the air filter still in as there are about 200 flies and bee's underneath it that I need to clean out!) and revved the engine, sounded better, but I need a good filter which will give a better tone. Went into a shop and they said it will make no difference to the sound if I had a Green Cotton. Is this true, as I don't want to be messing with induction kits.
