I think once the sport and M3 model come along it will look the dog's
gonads, as the arches need flaring as they look too flat for a bmw and
the bumpers look too simple, the e46 had huge flares on the front with
the standard coupes let alone the M3. But il gurantee the engine will
be great. [y]
Actually not bad... looks much better and less fussy at the side
and rear han all the pre 3 series.. either they have lost a swage line
or ithe rubbung strips have gone.....
However the front still looks very messy with 5
seperate grills and eight different lights... not including the angel
eyes/sidelights.
I've found most of the latest BMW shapes are growers. Havent liked a single one at launch but they slowly grow on me. I even find myself starting to like the 1 series (though not at the price they want). Doesnt do anything for me but time will tell. By the time it grows on me I'll probably be in a position to buy one.
Roof profile looks odd, doesn't gel with the rest of the body and the rear reminds me something Jap/American. No doubt it will have great drive and sell loads.
I'd go with that.... no shots of the M3 as yet, the pics floating
around were a test mule so not very representative - just looked like
the car above. I would expect a cross between this, a 330 Sport saloon
bodykit and flared arches. It might give it the imposing stance this car lacks IMO, but I am yet to be impressed personally...
Yeah thought I would have a look, but talk about crappy site design... the people
/ information seem pretty good, but the site is awful. The UK lacks a really top quality BMW
forum IMO, there does not seem to be a BMW equivelant to UK MKIVs out
there....
New E92 coop looks really smart in my opinion. [H]
With the right options / wheels it'll make the E46 look dated instantly, like the E46 did for the E36 and the E36 did for the E30.
The newish 5 (E60?) looks fantastic these days, despite looking a touch strange at launch, and makes the older (1997-2003, E42? Can't keep up with all these e-numbers!!) 5-series look dated now.
Most new BMWs also look 100 times better in the metal than they do in photos, too... []
It's suffering from too much metal over the rear wheel, much like the 5 series. Making the back wheel look about two thirds the size of the front one. All round it needs beefing up at the rear to make it look as chunky as the front.
