Are the anniversary and GTI spoilers the only OEM spoilers? Does anyone know how much they are from VW or know anywhere I can get one cheap? I think I prefer the GTI one as the anniversary one just looks too small and hardly visible! Does anyone have part numbers/prices? Cheers

I went for the Votex spoiler for the same reason - the Anni/R32 one is just too small.

The Votex spoiler does have a small cutout which is there to prevent collision with the aerial.

I paid ?99 from VW around 18 months ago.

I'd go with the anni spoiler because i personally think it looks better
and not as big and outta place in my eyes as the votex one. You can
pick up the anni spoilers off ebay quite cheap around ?100 aswell.
Outta place?

Why's that Sonny?

Does this just look wrong then? [:S]

I agree...but by the way which sideskirts are on your car GaryM?
Oettinger, again I prefer these over the 25th Anni skirts due to the lines.

I find the 25th skirts too straight and flat with no apparent design.

I would have preferred to fill in the Oettinger logo though if I were to do it all again.

I like those side skirts, different, but nice, know what I mean !!

But I prefer the Anni/R32 roof spoiler, very understated - just right !!

Does anyone know where I can get a Votex spoiler from? Went to VW but they said the last time someone ordered a Votex spoiler it took 4 months for it to come in! The guy said ?109 but I had to pay up front and didn't wanna wait 4 months - anywhere else I could get it?

I think the spoiler looks right on garys car because the rest of the kit balances it out for quite an aggressive look.

The average run of the mill golf on the street with just a votex spoiler doesnt look right to me.

I went to oemparts.co.uk for my anni spoiler, decent guys to deal with.

Seems that the average punter doesnt realise there's any choice of type of spoilers available, they just waltz up to the spares dep't and ask to have "one of those wingy things for the back of my car please"

God i'm such a hypocrite today!

I had the Votex spoiler on my second MKIV; previous owner had paid for it. I always thought the design was compromised due to the cutout; imo it shouts "Oh look we forgot about the aerial so let's just cut a bit out" which is a bit naff for a quality German car manufacturer. Couldn't they have move the aerial instead?
