...I saw this (or one like it) pulling out of a driveway on my way home. No car has ever made me go "holy s**t!!"

Their latest coupe (although it's been out over a year now)...

Lovely car, meant to be a blast to drive and with 17" wheels + they look great but only a fool would buy one new!!

Mate of mine is about to buy a brand new JTD one of those... hmm..

Looks great from the front, not so keen on the rear though.

That JTD is the same engine as my Astra (also on the Saab 9-3) -Cracking unit.

Love the look, would be terrified to own.

Alfa keep coming bottom of the JD Power survey!

I took this at Goodwood on Friday where Alfa were showing off their new Brera. It may spend most of its life in the service dept but I think this is one beautifull car.

Am I alone in thinking Alfa's look terrible?

I have to say I am not sure what top gear were bangin on about today with that brera. Wheels/arches look too small, (like the old hyundai coupe!) and that bue one at goodwood just looks like a normal hatchback.

?25k for an entry level model that will depreciate quicker than Argentina......!?!?

No thanks.

But the GT does look pretty and I quite like the 147 for looks too.

Not all car designs start with a square box you know! At least an Alfa
looks like an Alfa, this cannot be said of current VAG cars. And before
you flame me, I have mostly owned VAG, and will be buying a new GTI at
somepoint.

I have to agree with Mr Clarkson, you MUST own an alfa at somepoint if
your a true petrol head. Having had the 147 for a couple of months now,
I understand what he means...

As far as realiability goes, well yes there are a few problems with it,
but no more than any golf i've owned. Plus not a rattle in sight!

The car has been to the dealers this week for these issues sorting, and
was impressed with the customer service. Everything i'd asked for has
either been done, or confirmed to be done without any arguments or
excuses. Now tell me a VW dealer like that!

My point is, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones

The new 159 is stunningly gorgeous. Id take a 159 3.2 Q4 over a C Class
or 3 Series any day of the week. Only problem is I would need a second
car for when it breaks...and god forbid the depreciation.

I just bought the wife the new facelifted 147 diesel. Its got 150 horses , looks to die for and to be honest when you drive it hard sounds like a throaty petrol... Hard to beleive i know. Only prob is it begs to be driven hard when you get in it and i've already had a few close calls with the Gatso !
I have driven the 3.2 GTV and it was pure pleasure

Yeh, but your guide dog likes them. [;)]
No guide dog for me dude. All my four eyes all think Alfa's look terrible [:)]

A lot of folk I know think the same too. Different strokes I guess.
