No Power
Got in my car this morning (1.9 GT TDI 150) and everything seemed fine until I got on the motorway. I put my foot down on the slip road and nothing happened. My revs wouldnt go over 3k and I struggled to get upto 50mph and when I did it wouldnt go no faster.
I eventually got to work and I was very worried my turbo had gone, I've just tried my car again now and everything seems fine again touch wood. Anybody got any ideas????

There were no indications on the dash, Its an 03 and done 100k matequick guess would be 'Limp mode' but as the more knowledgeable chaps on here will tell you there could be other factors.

i'd suggest googling "golf 1.9 GT TDI 150 limp mode" and see what you can find, while waiting for answers on here
Sounds like your VNT mechanism is sticking...see here. There are a few options as you will read. Ideally you could do with vag-com scan to make sure you get an overboost code[
