Hi All,

I have been with Nildram for the last couple of years and have been having problems with them the last week. Just cannot connect. Just wanted to know if anyone else is having the same issues?

I have rung them, and after being on hold for 45minutes, been told that they are updating some services and some people may not be able to connect. I had the same problem a couple of months ago, through which i gained concession on my monthly bill after filing a complaint against them!

Any response would be much appreciated! [;)]

Having heard nothing but good things about them over the years, I am considering moving to them from BT...

I like the 50Gb limit peak and unlimited off peak...

Previously, i was without the net for about a week. Phoned them up and said to them that i was not happy with their service and i expect alot more from them, for such a big company! [;)]

And then said that for the amount i paying (25.99) i should be receiving much better service and that i was not happy with their service! They sorted their problem, and i emailed them saying that i hope they do not expect me to pay the full bill as i was running without net for at least a week.

The accounts department then got in touch with me stating that they will be crediting 2 weeks worth back to my account as "good gesture" and not because of the faults! [:D]

Cool stuff Lee. I am on their maxdsl up to 8mb service since last tuesday and it now seems to have settled at a max of 4.8mb.

Yes, thats what I went for Dan - The 8mb service but it seems to have
settled at 4.5mb for me, maybe to do with the exchange near me? Not

Yeah, it'll be to do with your distance from the exchange and the losses on your line. Even though i'm barely 400 meters from the exchangem the line goes for a coupla miles before it gets to our place [:(]

That's a good speed ya got there mate. I guess your on the ramsgate exchange aren't ya. Apparently, it has a nice fat link due to a certain large company near sandwich that I work for having it's data travel through there. That is from a bt employee, so I guess it's correct. Maybe that explains your fast connection, or you live in the exchange ! [:D]

If you ever have problems with your connection and the usual thump the router doesn't work, first place you should always head for is adslguide.org.uk - if the poo has hit the flapper, then it'll appear here with in minutes [y]
