Well, this is my car. I spend all my time, and most of my money on it. Really happy with how it has come on since i bought it 12months ago, unfortunatly i don't have a picture of how it used to look because my computer broke down and died. But it was a standard 1.6 16V with horriable steelies and black bump strips. Hope you all like it as much as i do[Y]

I have FK Highsports, only put them on, (myself) last weekend. Still bedding in. Put it over the pit tinight and saw that my ARB is rubbing on the drive shaft, but only on the driver side, because its thicker on the driver side. Looking out for a new ARB at the mo.

Sem i don't have any spacers on at the moment, just bought some 15mm off a member for the rears, i think the front is ok. Even though the tyres are pretty much touching the coilovers!

Thanks for the good comments.

Excellent work [Y] I didn't know the 1.6 was made as a 3-door. Any engine mods? That last shot is superb, what speed were you driving there? The last time I tried taking such a photo I messed about with shutter priority and it all came out rubbish, perhaps I should just leave it in auto and simply drive fast enough to get a blur!

What's the handling like, is the acceleration OK with those big wheels? How does the steering feel with your rear spacers?

Nice Chaz, I've had the Highsports fitted for a month or so and am well
pleased. Also getting the driveshaft problem though, and I have the
Neuspeed front ARB in my lounge waiting to be fitted this month ....
will let you know if it solves the problem

Hi Chaz, havent seen you on here much lately?

Your cars looking spot on now with the coilovers on! Good work!

Just a suggestion, but I reckon your gonna have problems with 15mm spacers on the rear with that ride height. I get rubbing with people in the back running with no spacers & im sure your car is at a similar height to mine. Arch liner rubbing is fine but mine was touching the metal arch on the way up to Donny south at the weekend. :-(

Well where do i start! Thanks for the nice comments, a modder is always greatfull to know his work is appreciated!

The acceleration is ok. Its actually not that slow, its v nippy round corners and theres hardly any body roll.

Its an irish import, don't think i have ever seen a 3dr 1.6 before, which is quite cool!

Hi Tim, been really busy with work lately so not had much free time! What width are your rims? I was worried about that, even though it would mean i didn't have to give people lifts everywhere! I think they could defo come out some more though, they just look a little lost from the back.

Have you taken your arch liners out?

My rims are 18 x 8.5 with 225/40/18's. Liners are still in. TBH I rarely have people in the back so rubbing is not normally an issue. I might actually raise mine up a bit to balance it out because mines slightly higher at the front at the moment. You can even notice it in my sig pic.

I was gonna put spacers on the rear of mine but I need 215/40/18's to get that stretched look to clear the arches or ill create even more problems!

I never really do much to the paintwork TBH. I polished it all for the first time with Zymol the day before the photos were taken, then washed it with gold class. They seem to work well together! I was impressed with how the polish made souch a big difference. Water just runs off the paint now, its great.

I want it all to be subtle but stand out at the same time. Got so many things in the pipeline for it! Keeping everything OEM though.

Thanks again!
