Hi Folks, Long time VW owner and just bought a 2003 golf mk4 pd100 ATD. and hoping to find out more on pd engines having previously owned mk2 1.6 petrol and diesel, mk11.6 diesel and polo1.9 tdi estate.
I now have to change belts and water pump on the new edition

Hello there! I'm totally new here too and have just bought the same model as you. Mine was very cheap and has a bunch of issues but hopefully will make the bones of a solid car. Sounds like you have some decent mechanical knowledge - my first port of call is belt and water pump but I'm getting my trusted mechanic to do that. I'm fine with motorbike stuff, car stuff is just a bit bigger right?!
