Hey

Saw some info about a special audi TT they are brining out, its lightweight all stripped out so only it only weighs 1500kg! LOL

thats heavier than my S3! its 237bhp can anyone tell me if thats the 3.2v6 or a tuned 1.8T, it has red brake calipers.

some more info would be appreciated,

ps

0-60 for it is 5.9 sec and its been brought out to celebrate the history of quattro(even tho its not permanent four wheel drive) lol

Yeah and it costs almost the same as the 3.2

It's a 1.8T 225bhp, but tweaked to 237bhp

Twin tone paint job (black roof and silver mirrors)

No back seats

a stress bar where the back seats used to be

alcantara seats, steering wheel, door cards

lower suspension

With a price close to the 3.2, I can't see it being a big seller, espeically with the naff looking paint job!

As im gonna get 265+bhp out of my S3 in two days im not gonna lose sleep over it. at least audi realised that back seats in a TT are a waste of time and removed them!

Flogging a dead donkey IMO - they must be close to giving it a facelift or something. Better off buying a standard 225, revo tune it and remove the seats, shelf, spare and add your own strut brace.

Then use the remainder to get your head examined by a doctor!

There are some more pics of it on that Geneva 2005 webpage that someone posted up yesterday.( i cant find the link - can anyone post it up?)

the interior is lots of alcantara (steering wheel is covered in it).

The seats are deep racing buckets

You have to remember that not everyone has the option to modify their cars.

This TT appears on the revised list of co.cars in my bracket along with the new boxster. For someone choosing a company car this is the fastest TT available to them without starting down the route of invalidating warranty and insurance.

Personally I'd rather take the money and have my anniversary paid for in a year.

However this TT looks OK to me and has one of the best interiors of any car I've ever been in.
