How much is your budget first?? as if its even a tad bit more than that you can get much better as those toxic amps aren't up to much to tell you the truth..

I've got a Rockford Fosgate 10" Punch dual voice coil sub for sale
if you want it? Very decent sounding sub and because of the size good
for punchy bass. I think its about 800w max. It ran well off my RF
punch amp that I sold a few weeks back.

I took all my stereo out before I went to the 'ring but decided I could live without it.

£60?

If i was you id buy a free-air subwoofer and mount it in the ski-hole and have nice clear bass for SQ.. as you can easily buy a nice free-air subwoofer for around 30-40 and an ampt to run them would be maximum 150 rms or 300watt peak... a 2 channel would do the job... if you want a sub i'v got a free air sub at home a 10" kenwood 150rms its yours for 25-30 if you want it..

Ive already won that fuel sta 12" sub enclosure that i gave link to. I didnt know owt about em so i just bidded on iit since it seemed to be going for quite a lot on websites. Now i just dont know what amps are compatible with it. You dont ahve an amp lying about do u?

Having a look at this one, dont know if itll be compatible with that sub will it?

Should i be looking for a 2 channel amp or 4? and what should be the power output of it?

You may need a juicy amp to power that.. i'd be looking at 2 channel amps at your budget but i always advise monoblock amps for subs.. but i doubt you'd get one for how much u wanna spend..

So i take it the one above i was thinking about isnt very good? So if teh Sub is 800w peak and 400w rms i should be looking for an amp at about 800w max? This wont end up blowing my sub in the future will it?

or something like this : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kenwood-KAC-929-Car-Audio-Amplifier-1000w_W0QQitemZ170031430306QQihZ007QQcategoryZ18796QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I wanted some rear speakers aswell. Will a 2 channel amp still be ok or will i need a 4 channel one? I only want to power the sub with it and the speakers by the headunit so will a mono amp do?

That amp will be ok,but a monoblock would be even better as it's designed specifically for that job and nothing else.If you're on such a tight budget, forget about amping your speakers and just run them off your head unit, which I assume it's a half decent aftermarket one?
As I mentioned in another post, you can do more damage to a speaker by underpowering it than by overpowering it,a small amp (say 150 watts) driven into clipping can turn a voice coil of a 500 watt sub into a melted, smouldering mass in a matter of seconds. You are ALWAYS better to use an amp with a higher power output than the sub is rated at and turn the gain down.Rememeber that ANY kind of distortion is VERY,VERY bad,not only for the equipment, but also for your ears.Decent speakers that are well built can handle in excess of their rated power handling figures providing you keep them fed with clean, undistorted power.

Try something like this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Boss-Audio-760-Watt-IQ-Series-HiFi-Car-Amp-Amplifier_W0QQitemZ250032307642QQihZ015QQcategoryZ18796QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Had a boss 1000w rms @2ohm (yes RMS, was rated at 2000w peak) amp, well it was 2x500 running 2 alpine type r 10" subs in my previous car and was surprised at the SQ and bang per buck, cost me about £135, was 4 channel bridgeable, sold it for same as I bought it for 12 months later its not fantastic but does a very good job for the price, that said look for a second hand alpine digital monoblock, absolutely fantastic, mine is rated at 644w RMS according to printout it came with (MRD-M605)

Thats more or less what i want, but the problem is that my budget is now £70 for the amp. Im trying to find a similar one in my budget, i dont mind it being used, if anyone on here is selling theirs.

This seems ok http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1000W-AMP-2-CHANNEL-BRIDGEABLE-CAR-HIFI-AMPLIFIER-NOVEX_W0QQitemZ320029625813QQihZ011QQcategoryZ18796QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

or even this if it goes cheap http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=011&item=320031206754&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

any opinions on this? cheapest 1000w amp i can find, mite just end up buying this one.

That "Novex" amp is just a practical joke, you CANNOT make an amp that produces 1000 watts and sell it for under £40 and expect it to be reliable, probably the Geman equivalent to SPLX.Don't think because you can buy something cheap, you're getting a genuine bargain,if it seems too good to be true,it almost certainly is.

Just had another look at the Novex wonder of modern engineering, and it only has a 15 amp fuse in it.Using Ohms law of P=I X V,I get a maximum power it can draw of (15 amps x 12 volts) 180 watts, and as most amps are only about 50% efficient,it can only output 90 watts TOTAL,but I guess that could be seen as 1000 watts if you squint hard enough.

Thanks for that, i really did think i had a right bargain there.

This shark one probably isnt too good aswell then is it? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=007&item=170033172388&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Ive heard this FLI is a good make though http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=007&item=170033172388&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 although theres isnt anything about this being bridgeable.

My sub is 3 ohms, should that have any effect on what amp i choose aswell?

EDIT: Just found this anp on ebay, im sure for £70 (if i can win it for that much) This would be worth it wont it? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270031271317&fromMakeTrack=true
