well my story of its current situation starts with a dodgy turbo upgrade in the way of an ATP GT2x fitted by a company that wanted nothing to do with it when it went wrong and also lied to me about the reason for its burning oil informing me that the head needed replacing resulting in me buying a replacement engine :x Once the new engine was bought a mate was brought in on the change and just before we started the work i destroyed the gearbox during a 6k launch [:D]

so thats when the car came to a stop driving wise :( over the following(many) months i collected lots and lots of parts including but limited to the following(as i've probably forgotton bits):-

S3 gearbox

S3 drive shafts

S3 prop

S3 starter motor

S3 clutch cable

S3 s electors

Spec stage 3+ clutch spec

light weight alloy flywheel

uprated H&R ARB's for an R32

ABD ceramic coated high flow inlet manifold

JBS equal length tubular exhaust manifold with external wastegate added

Garrett GT2860rs

full 3" inlet pipes

Golf GTi recaro seats front and back

Tial 38mm waste gate with screamer pipe []

full 3" downpipe

heat proof insulating inlet manifold gasket

adjustable rear tie bars

440cc injectors(might need bigger)

82.5mm JE pistons ready for the rebuild of the original engine

the car already had the following:-

KW V2 coilovers

jabbasport large proalloy fmic

2.75" Blueflame cat back exhaust with sports cat

poly bushed front end

3" maf

3" BMC CDA

uprated Haldex controller

LCR 323mm brembo's

poly dogbone engine mount

whilst it was apart some of the parts got spruced up a bit with the fmic getting painted black

right now the car is in the hands of my mate the uber mechanic and he is doing it as and when he can and i hope to have it back soon :) this is a video of it in action when it had the standard turbo/coilovers/brembo's/remap/exhaust :) the video car is a remapped 1.8t octavia elegance hatch, the middle car is a fabia vRS with an AMD generic map and mine is the car on the far side :)

very decent launch in that video, 4x4?

awesome spec and a proper sleeper :)
yeah, its the same floor pan as things like the TT, S3 and R32, infact it now has an S3 gearbox.
Proper sleeper! I never realised octavia's came in 4x4, how very sneaky of them...

Looking forward to seeing how this progresses [Y] ... and to a race between this and the Quattro GTI!
thanks, tbh i'd love to see how it compares to dans seeing as we will have similar powr outputs(mine *should* be a little bit higher) but through different methods, hybrid K04 Vs GT28 on a tubular manifold.
You dreamer Bengie it will never keep up! Haha only kidding you'll leave me in the dust. Im not overly impressed so far with the hybrid, but Nick thinks there is a lot more mid range torque to come so fingers crossed!

Im loving this though, set of bucket seats and stripped would be full of win lol
What have you do to the internals of the engine Bengie?
I like this better than dans

Strip it and bucket seats would be amazing!
nothing so far dan, i have a turbo smart boost controller so its getting mapped with high boost so in the 300's and then set to low boost whilst i get round to uprating the internals, i already have my +1.5 JE pistons, couple with some uprated rods and then high boost ahoy!
I am loving this, something a bit different. Very cool.

Ant
awesome sleeper fella, it launches like a rocket. keep us updated
Paint it up like a modern ghostbusters ambulance and your golden!hehehehe
you laugh but that was planned for trax the year it broke!
Awesome sleeper, really like this it looks such an unassuming car that you wouldnt really take a second look at it.
I bet that that suprises many people.. Amazing amount of work gone into this.. hopefully its now a smooth and problem free lfife ahead..?
it'll never be a smooth and problem free life as i'll never leave it alone [:D]

every week i have a new idea/plan for it and its not even running yet!

and yes, it has surprised a few people even when standard [:D]

there's a lad i know locally that took the P out of me when i got as it was completely standard and he said it was just an old mans car(he had a 1.4 16v mk5 fiesta), shortly after getting it i happened to be behind him at a T junction set of traffic lights entering a dual carriageway, he floored it as he was at the front and the look on his face when i easily passed him only 100 yards onto the bybass was priceless. he doesn't mock my car anymore.
