I ordered my Gti back at the end of October, I got mine from drivehtedeal.com with a ?2500.00 discount off the list price[
], they then went and ordered it from an Official VW dealer called specialist cars in Abeerdeen who will ship it down for me on a transporter. I checked all the information and the car is an official UK car ordered directly through VW. I saw this deal in Auto car, I have since cheked and they are only doing a 1K discount due to the popularity of it.
for 20K I got the Gti in red, 6 disc changer with arm rest, winter pack, luxury pack 2, 18" alloys , spare wheel full size 18", parking sensors, didn't bother with the DSG as I have never been a massive fan of auto's even though I hear it is meant to be awesome.
When I orderd the VW dealer told me that they were looking at late March delivery, has anyone got any updates on delivery times for these as I managed to order mine before they got all the great reviews []

]I went to VW yesterday for my test drive, yesterday and had a look at the order sheet for my car and it said the car is getting built in Jan I think the first week after their xmas break, so should be here in the country at the start of feb. I have 18s on it, though to be honest after seeing the car 17s look big enough.
That is a confirmed date on the system, though I have had my order in since August.

You did very well Stu, I ordered mine though them in late November and only got ?1500 off so I got a Diamond Black 5 door with sunroof and centre armrest for just under 20K.
Look as if delivery is going to be slow I have been quoted late April/early May.
I am not however going to have a test drive, I want it to a pleasure worth waiting for in my very own car []
