There is a plan behind this, when I was in Europe this year camping I loved it
It was great to just get up and go where you wanted instead of being stuck in hotel for two weeks on an island.
so we looked at getting a motor home ?45000.00 grand wow plus the tax insurance and storing it for most of the year then we looked at a caravan ye nice ?25000.00 then some where to keep it for the rest of the year and last thing was a trailer tent but not my cup tea don?t seem that strong

Then I remember last year when at Holfstead show in Belgium we seen this

My mate has a ready stripped tdi with no motor and all the back end intact you could have had REAL cheap!! Will be interesting to see it finsihed, but you may have some issues with the legislation for the trailer, brakes etc, weights and the like.

Definately get some advice from a trialer manufacturer etc unless you are in that biz yourself.

Trailers are fine built a few in my time indespension do a booklet with load of designs etc but also they cover the constructions and use regulations in there well worth a copy if they still print it been a few year since I did mine.

Your right not to buy a motorhome my folks bought one last year we all used it but they hated it and my missus hated it, I TBH loved but it was a damn expensive hobby maintenace and parking etc!!! especially when you compare the cost of an easyjet flight to Nice and the rental of one for the weeks you need it, that is far cheaper and easier.

Though 45k sounds expensive my old man got a 4 berth 1 year old laika (luxury italian) with motorbike rack shower toilet air con and 10 thou on the clock for 25k

WOW! That is going to look friggin *mental*! (In a good way though [:D])

Good luck, looks like you've got a lot of work ahead of you.

Got a shock with the first pic though - thought it was yours! (not knowing what your car looks like)
