My new car has arrived at the dealers and is just sat there waiting for me to collect it. I'm trying to be sensible and wait until the golfs sold but if I still have it by the 12th of July I'm getting the MCS as well...

I've got pics but no where to host em.

Thanks Tab, by best do you mean the most common? I've already had the rear lights change to clear ones so these pics are a little out of date. I also choose the 18"s to put on it as they are a lot lighter than the stock 17"s and help with the handling - apperentley!!!!!

I've got an induction kit for it already sat here on my desk at work, hiding it from her in doors as she has already moaned about how much I have spent on it so far and I'm looking into getting it chipped. Birds do the Hartge conversion which looks to be about the best for the money/warrenty (not willing to spend £3.5k on the works) and my insurance company are willing to cover me with it plus they are based in Uxbridge which isn't to far from work so I can pop in to have a go in thier demo [:D]. The plan is to run it for a few months and see how I get on. I bought it on a whim so want to make sure I am going to keep it for a few years before spending any more cash on it. Saying that when I got the golf I told everyone I would keep it for years and it only lasted for 2 before I got ichy feet and started looking for a replacement (which took 6 months!) so perhaps I will just get it done anyway. watch this space, although I won't be driving a VW I'm still planning on visiting this site to pass on my ramblings and attend inters and any south coast meets that I can so watch this space I'll keep you all informed.

LOL...Yep checked and checked again. Needless to say I will be going over the car very

thoroughly before accepting it. The wheel was less than 5mm away from the curb... But

luckily no damage had been done to it, saying that they have moved the car since.

Henry, there the optional 17"s that I have already provisionally sold. Got a set of light weight

18"s to go on as soon as I collect it. Unfortunatley to get cheapest way to get a loaded mini

is to buy one of thier standard packages which only come with those 17"s and run flat tyres

which are extremely heavy and kill the handling and ride of the car. On the plus side all the

owners of lower spec'd mini's want the 17"s.

Paul,

Thanks matey, your on, I tell you what get yourself down south for an evening and I'll show

you how us old timers party here in the uk [:D] oh and my mate has already offered me a

swap for the after noon, he gets the mini I get his db7... Erm can you just make it a

straightish road though...

J....straight road is fine...I'd probably put my bro's car thru a hedge...=)

that mini's a fine car...I had a go of one over here (same one as yours) superchipped....it went like stink but I was most impressed by the handling. Very nimble indeed!!!

Enjoy!
