After a lot of reccomendation i took up the offer Alex @Serious
Performance has given UKMKIV's of a winter wax. (see the detailing
forum for details).

I washed, hand glazed and collinited yesterday then left the collinite to go off over night and put some P21S on this morning.

I'm well impressed with the results. My usual pic location at the local
quarry was quite busy this morning which is strange so i ventured onto
the common amongst the cows.

The pics that look REALLY blue are with the 'vibrant' function on my camera. I also played with the b&w function.

Ok, looking VERY nice!

I find the only trouble with our colour is that you don't get the same wet shine as you do with blacks/reds/dark blues. Shame, but then dirt doesnt show up as much on ours.

Looks like you had a nice day there!

The cars looking good Rich, as always. The new front grill will finish the front off nicely when you get it. You still going to smooth the bumpers?

I need to get some mods going again, I haven't done anything in ages.

a bumper to try it out on. I've photoshopped it and it looks ok, so
just gotta do it in the flesh!

Thanks guys, the drop is 35-40mm i believe, on FK highsports. A bit of
rubbing on the o/s driveshaft but should be sorted with new ARB's.

borajetta, i got it off ebay from a bmw parts seller. Its an M3 style
lip spoiler, just extruded abs plastic really. Cost me about ?30. I had
to cut it to length as the bmw boot is wider.

I think it looks the part. Not too intrusive and breaks up the back end nicely. [:)]

Just tap 'bmw lip spoiler' into ebay and see whats there.

Yeah the Collinite wasn't too bad at all. It was a bit harder to apply than P21 but it came off a lot easier than it went on.

Make sure the applicator is kept damp throughout applying it though and you'll be ok.

iib3327, thanks [:)]

Yep, FK Highsports. If i'd known their reputation for corrosion i'd
have probably gone for something different. At the time everyone was
raving about them, they were at a good price (?400 delivered) and i got
them fitted cheaply.

However, i can't fault them as yet!

I will take the wheels off before winter sets in and grease them up to
protect them but comfort wise and handling wise they are excellent and
proved themselves very well in Germany round the 'ring and on the roads
to the ring. I get launched out the seat sometimes on roads with a
series of dips but i think everyone with firm suspension would be
similar?

I'll probably try something else next time just to see what the difference is but for now i'm very happy.

sweet looking motor like the wheels what are those and what size
They are Audi TT competitions, 7x17". They need some work as they are
very corroded and kerbed due to a crap woman driver who used kerbs to
park her car.

But, for ?100 with 4 good continentals (excellent tyres by the way, in
both wet and dry!) it was a bargain. I'm gonna do the work myself over
winter as because i got the wheels so cheap, i may as well do the work
myself (which i'm happy doing and capable) and save myself another ?150
odd quid on refurbing.
