My boot wont open, whats missing in the pic?

Hi, recently my boot hasnt been opening. You can still hear the motor in the lock moving but neither this or the key will open it. I took off the trim today and managed to manually open it but there is something which seems to have come unattached. I also found a small pin and a small piece of flat plastic in the boot lid. Ive taken some pictures, if anyone can spot whats wrong with it then it would be a massive help. One other thing I noticed was the handle doesnt seem to do anything at all, even when I manually locked and unlocked the boot?

If you look in the last pic you can see a gold coloured piece of metal on the end of a plastic arm. A pin had come loose which caused it drop down away from the handle. I should look like this...

You will have to get in the boot through the back seats, take off the trim either side of the parcel shelf then unscrew and remove the boot trim. Find the pin inside the boot lid and put it all back together. I guessed mine only broke because the pin had slowly worked its self out over the past 12 years, its been fine since.
