OEM petrol Anni exhaust fitted to my Anni TDI [:D]

I have always wanted to give my rear end the 'petrol Anni' look and this weekend I have completed the mod.

I bought the petrol valance a while ago but couldn't make up my mind on what exhaust to go for. I saw the Anni Milltek in the flesh and wasn't keen TBH....its way to big for my liking and looks very much like a baked bean tin [:D] (no offence to those who have this exhaust, i'm sure it offers great performance [:p]).

The OEM petrol anni catback was the way to go so I set about acquiring one. Wasn't even gonna bother with getting a price from the stealer as I knew i'd be looking at ?250+.

I emailed Raj (RS2002) as I knew he had fitted a full Milltek to his Silver Anni 1.8T and asked if he still had his old OEM one knocking about. He was just about to throw it away and was happy to post it down to me [:D] the exhaust was removed from his car at only 4k miles and was absolutely mint, Raj didn't charge me a penny for it so I just wanna say thank you very much mate [Y]

The valance was acquired from OEM parts at an absolute bargain price, factory painted in DBP - big thanks to Jeremy for sorting me out [Y]

By the way, the exhaust is NOT a direct fit - I had to have an adapter made to mate it to the centre section - big thanks to Foxy for the advice [Y]

So here's a few pics of my new rear and some others as i'd just cleaned her inside and out.

Excuse the soot on the tailpipe as i'd just been for a 'spirited' drive [:D]

Is it just me or are those rear lights darker than the usual GTI ones??

Yes, you're right - well spotted. They are Hella Red/Black/Red ones available from our resident lighting specialist Baker21. I think they're a nice subtle change from the standard GTI smoked ones where the centre section has a more brown appearance IMO.

Cheers for the positive comments guys [:)]

Nice car as always mate, the rear end looks a lot more better now. Can I see a pic of a miltek anni compared to the normal anni as I don't know how they differ in size. Thanks in advance.

Sonny
Check out GaryM's ride if you want to see the Milltek 'baked bean' tin [:p]

Sorry Gaz [:D]

As always Sem your motor looks great, does it ever get dirty?

Love the new rear end, you got any comparison pics of the changes you've made?

As for the lights, they are indeed R/B/B/R's, anyone interested then email me at [email protected]. These are fast becoming a great alternative to the R/C/C/R's and they look very OEM!!
