Hi everyone,
Now this has probably been covered by many places before but I can not seem to find the information i need on it. So this one is for all you technically talented people.
I am trying to use MPPS software on my car to eventually flash a blacksmoke remap to my car, although now it appears as though it can't be done on my car. I can load the software fine, drivers are installed fine, when ignition is on, the voltage is high 12's low 13's so that's normal, but I can't ID, Read and I am assuming Write to my ECU. All I get is, "Waking ECU" then "ECU not found".
I have a Audi A4 (B6) 1.9tdi PD100 engine code AVB. I have tried everything I can possibly think of to get it working and still nothing. My laptop is running Windows 8. I have uninstalled software and drivers then re installed, tried removing fuses for instrument cluster and also radio to reduce interference with the K-Line(no airbag light came on and radio didn't have to be re set which I thought was strange), I have made sure Internet, antivirus and firewalls are off, run as administrator and using compatability mode win xp service pack 3, I tried using a different laptop, also tried Reading a different car (nothing still), ordered and used a different cable (different seller), even downloaded Windows XP operating system and run It in virtual box as a Virtual Hard Drive and still it ain't doing what it is suposed to do. I've tried COM port setting within the VHD and that didn't help either, just reached a point where I don't know how to get it to work. I am starting to feel as tho bench flashing is the only way to get summit to work on my ECU. My car was diagnosed 2 weeks ago via the OBDII port by a Snap On Doagnostics tool and that had no trouble so wouldn't of thought it would be the OBDII connection itself, although my cheap eBay fault code reader does come up with "Linking error" also and struggles to read codes.
Please someone help me out. If you have any information that could help then I would be really really grateful.
