Well, couldn't get the pearl grey metallic powder in time for the
Nurburgring trip next week so went with what they had in stock. Got
Yokohama Parada Spec II's on and fook me do they grip!

Wow mate, those wheels make her look superb, and I bet those tyres grip some! You've just convinced me that I will have a S3 in a couple of years!

you really are taking this to the next level ....impressed
Andy, Sparrow, thanks, coming from you guys it is praise indeed! Not
that I don't appreciate everyone else's comments but when it comes from
people you actually have met and known for their discerning and unbiased
opinions it is doubly valued and appreciated...

The black/grey look is definitely an acquired taste but when you're
starting with a base car that is simply 'understated elegance' but with
the heart of a tuned 1.8T Golf, what can you do to improve that?

Be different is my only conclusion...

The motor's looking good stew.

The yokos are good in the dry, but the set I tried scared me whitless in the wet. The cut slicks I'm running have a lot more wet weather grip than the yokos. Should be good for the ring though if it's dry.

I think my superleggeras will be getting the gunmetal grey treatment soon.

I concur with John on the parada's they proper crap you up when you hit either standing water or push hard into a corner, just the design really with such a minimal cut on the outer edge.

Looks good though proper mean and moody keep up the good work fella, I hope to be updating my piccies in a few weeks so keep em peeled,

Thanks John, again, praise indeed....

Last time we went out to the Ring with some experimental Kumho track
day tyres (Meee mate Dave has a tyre garage) which were absolutely
terrifying in the wet and if it wasn't for the TC and 4 wheel drive I
would have definitely made a mess of some perfectly decent German arnco
and Audi machinery lol

So, I can live with the wet performance, I'm really banking on it being dry like last year..

What I love about your car and this goes for Wilkos car aswell... is
there are soo many cheque book cars out there, but you guys whilst
maybe not doing all your spannering yourslef dont just walk int NA
tuner and say fit XYZ to my car and bang heres my motor..

You take your time and do a bit at a time and arent scared to remove
stuff youve done or do it again to make it right... like the wheels, I
know if you didnt like it you would do it again and again to do it
right.

Lol Andy [:D], funny you should mention that!

I've already got designs on the next colour (based upon my original choice of Dark Grey Pearl metallic)...

Yeah, I wouldn't say I'm the most affluent person around and the
choices I make are well researched and deliberated over and I suppose,
due to my maturity, I prefer the subtle, understated but well thought
out mods rather than the balls out attempt to snap knicker elastic at
30 yds....

At the end of the day, I can't help that which is inside me...the 17 year old petrol head! (with the body of a 36 year old lol)

Cheers!

Please don't mate, that is quite possibly the most overdone combo there is now. It looks great but its just too common.

What you have done now looks absolutely great, stick with it your now in my club [:D]

Your S3 looks like it means business and thats what its all about IMO.
