When the engine is cold the tubo works, you can hear the distinctive sound. Once the engine is war i.e. the temp gauge is at 12 o'clock the turbo does not work, it just makes a tut noise when i take my foot off the pedal. I have checked the boost pipe and the jubilee clips are nipped up ok.

Thanks.

Need to get it run through VAGCOM to see if it throws up any codes mate. I'm sure there is someone on here who could help you out from the price of a few beers!

Yeah i am sure theres a good explanation, i just can't work it out. I have had it on the computer and no codes have come up, and the system was up to date on new engines. The turbo sounds spot on, its just when its warmed up as though there is something stopping it kick in. HELP!

If the turbo wasn't spooling up you would get a low boost pressure fault code. Have you done an actual values check of the boost requested versus boost supplied?

No, there is loads of boost when cold, as it was prior to the faults. I am thinking it may be something to do with the blow off valve or actuators. It really is a sudden difference, so yes, maybe i need a turbo specialist. This is a really complex engine, and therefore hard to resolve problems.
