GT TDi with DSG. 10,300 miles.

Used to use Shell Diesel Extra, which was good, but now use BP Ultimate, which does feel marginally better and gives about another 3-5 MPG as far as I can tell. Haven?t used Supermarket fuels for over 5 years on principle!<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

a) Your best ever average mpg for a journey (at least10 miles) - 68.9, on a 22mile journey to work on the motorway in traffic. It was at 72 after 18 miles, but the last 4 miles killed it...
b) Your worst ever average mpg for a journey (at least 10 miles) - 32 ish
c) Your average mpg for a journey with mostly motorways (say 75-80mph ave) - Usually 50 - 57mpg sitting on the motorway at an idicated 80.
d) Your average mpg for a journey with some clear A-roads and some crawling town traffic - ~50
e) Your average mpg for a cross-country "dash" on the twisty-turnies - max 6/10's full chat - It's easy to get low 30s when pushing it, but driven with a bit of tiny sense, 36 - 42
f) Your long-term average mpg ( MFA trip setting 2) - must be at least 2000 miles old. 53.7 over the last 4000 miles. I think it over reads though, I reckon the truth is more like about 48mpg.

GT TDI 3 Door, all standard, 16 inch wheels, manual and just under 15K on the clock. Most of my driving is motorways though.

Car has only done 800 miles (had it 5 days!) but some excellent results

a) Your best ever average mpg for a journey 40mpg

b) Your worst ever average mpg for a journey (at least 10 miles) 26mpg

c) Your average mpg for a journey with mostly motorways (say 75-80mph ave) 36mpg

d) Your average mpg for a journey with some clear A-roads and some crawling town traffic 32mpg

e) Your average mpg for a cross-country "dash" on the twisty-turnies - max 6/10's full chat 26mpg

f) not done 1000 miles yet.

Tank shows 375 miles when I fill up but soon goes up to 400. Have mostley done motorway driving since I've got it, but running it in on some good A roads too. I'm quite amazed at the results actually, my g/f's polo 1.4 fsi gets 52mpg [H][Y] not bad for a petrol motor.
