I have decided to list my MK4 Golf GTi Turbo after 11 years of ownership.
This vehicle has been maintained regardless of cost during my tenure and I am selling the car as it has only covered ~ 1,500 miles in the last three years and I have lost my winter storage for the car.
I have receipts for thousands of pounds during my ownership with a fully stamped up Service book and receipts/MOT's going back to 2007. The car has had a new MOT put on it in the last couple of weeks and I have listed below some of the work it has received in the last four years / 8,000 miles as I feel this is the most relevant information for any potential purchaser. 25/9/2018 - MOT, replacement washer fluid pump, replaced brake fluid, new water pump, cambelt, alternator belt & tensioners & fresh coolant. Oil Change, new oil filter, rocker cover gasket, valve cover gasket, air filter & Pollen/cabin filter. Drivers seat tension cable replaced. - Mileage 155,622 - Cost ~ £1,200
28/3/19 - New Front Discs & Pads, new NSF Brake Caliper. - Mileage 158,858, - Cost £322
27/9/19 - MOT - Mileage 161,659 - New front Anti-roll bars offside & near side replaced

21/2/20 - New Outside Temperature Sensor, genuine replacement roof Aerial & roof Gasket. ~ £50

20/9/21 - Driver's seat Bolster wear repaired & fabric replaced with correct Nardo Fabric - ~ £300
28/3/22 - New Bosch Wipers all round and new Varta Battery installed - £113.14
2/7/22 - Roof, rear bumper, rear quarters, door handles and mirror repainted, also boot lock & mechanism replaced - £945
29/7/22 - A Set of Genuine Santa Monica Alloy Wheels fully refurbished and diamond cut and fitted with four new Uniroyal shark skin tyres fitted - £793.34
12/8/22 - MOT & Brake Switch required - Cost £87.06 - Mileage 162,941
So the car has had around £4,500 spent on it in the last four years to get it to a really good standard, I have had the paintwork done sympathetically to enhance the car without making it look over restored & too good to drive.
The car isn't perfect as it is getting on for 24 years old, but not far off and it wouldn't take much to make this a show car if that's the route you want to go. The car starts first turn of the key every time and is a joy to drive. The car comes with three keys including the factory plastic key and still has the dealer key ring with them.
