Car was put straight into specialist for cambelt and pump fluids etc with a full checkover. The lads at the garage all came out and were amazed to see such an unmolested time warper.I bought it to knock about in as not to trash my mk7,5 185 gt but penny just dropped i might have bought a bit of a unicorn.Im fortunate to have some mega cars (CGT and Ford GT etc) but loving the attention my mk4 is getting everywher it goes.!!!

They're great cars. Long term of course they're going to get legislated off the road so a TDI's not going to be a future classic but until then they make a load of sense. Easy to fix, all the common faults well-documented. What colour is it?

I tthink by the time they have legislated them off the road the penny will have dropped to the fact EV are probably not the answer so ill just have to smoke around in a petrol!!The cars in light silver ,couple of small dings but quite amazing condition for what was at the end of the day a motorway miler by definition!!

Yeah, they're definitely not the answer. Needs a major breakthrough in battery tech to be truly viable. Mine's Reflex Silver which still looks the part alongside modern cars, quite classy and understated

it's just a standard mk4 sorry the only mk4's that have any braggin rights and actually look good are the anniversary and the R32... and the latter is seriously good looking, everytime i see one i want it...as i wouldn't touch it cosmetically but engine wise...turbo for the win.
