you'll find the fan's axle has a securing clip that should be taken off than you can remove it from the engine
MK4 A/C fan question
So both my a/c fans can only rotate at high speed. Low speed is dead on both fans.
However, I do have one spare fan in my basement. Motor is in perfect condition but the plastic fan itself is broken:

My question is: How do I separate the plastic fan from the motor so that I can swap the motors? I can only swap the blown low speed resistor if it need be but I would prefer swapping the motors.
Any ideas? How is the fan attached? Force fit?
