has anyone meshed their bumper holes?

i'm thinking about doing this.

how did you attach the mesh to the bumper?

also given the colour of my car (in my sig) what colour do you think i should paint the mesh...black or colour code it?

I've been thinking of doing the same mate; look on Votex for a how too..... Can?t seem to find it now...

Think it's a bumper off job and good old silicone sealant to hold it in place.

Defo go black [:)]

I did mine differently to most people i had the mesh at the front of the bumper so it was level with where the vents were. If you put the mesh on the back of the bumper it looks a bit 'sunk in'

That was on my old car i have an r32 front on this one

BTW, to do it i cut all the slats out of the vents then bent the mesh into shape so it had the old slat surrounds as sort of a support. Then got the mesh powdercoated black so it wouldn't ever chip. Looked OEM

I was thinking of doing this last year but just didn't bother when I was sent silver mesh instead of the black that I'd ordered. I thought long and hard about whether to have it fitting flush to the front or flush to the back. Decided that best would probably be to have it flush with the little ridge that is exposed when you remove the standard vents.

Yep.

I wanted the sunken effect like the R32 bumper [;)]

It just doesnt look right to me when the mesh is flush with the bumper.

I agree and I think you managed to achieve a great compromise with your last car - nicely recessed but not too far back.

do you know how big the sheets that they send are?

also i know that sem had his bumper smoothed and painted, so what

does the recessed area look like if your bumper hasn't been

resprayed? is it well painted and tidy or what?
